Fukuwohoru vol.6 "British Military"

The next Tokyo exhibition is set.

Somehow this makes six — there's some emotion in that, but as always: nothing moves until you make it move.

The theme: the British military

Whenever I set a theme, I start by going through the vintage on hand. Among the "someday" pieces, there they were: the Ventile smock and the Despatch Rider's coat.

Acknowledged masterpieces, I'd say.
Someday...
There were two reasons I kept putting them off.
One: a vague sense of "not yet."
Two: a worry about arriving after everyone else already has.

Carrying all of that, this time I decided to pull them out.
However many reasons I lined up for waiting, they couldn't beat "I want to do this."

Not cutting along clean categories

This time I don't intend to cut the show along clean categories.
Windproof pieces will hang with windproof, work with work — but I won't force the whole into a single measure. The same military, answering different environments and different duties: I want to look at those answers side by side. Showing the full range of how they solved things suits this country's clothing better, I think.

I've given every previous round everything I had — all the resources I could use. Even so, this one has an extra charge to it, and looking at the strength of the lineup, I have a feeling vol.6 will be a meaningful round for Fukuwohoru.
